SmartSpeed firmware instructions

To install the latest firmware:

  1. Download the required firmware onto your computer (links above)
  2. If your web browser displays a message e.g. "... may be dangerous", click the option arrow and then click Keep.

Once downloaded follow the Windows 10 or Mac instructions below.

Windows 10
  1. Run the download file
  2. Click More Info
  3. Click Run anyway
  4. An Upgrade screen will display
  5. Place your device into Bootloader mode and connect to your computer via USB
  6. Click Upgrade
  7. When successful, Upgrade Complete! will display
Mac
  1. Double click the download file to extract the .app file
  2. Hold Control and click .app file
  3. Select Open in shortcut menu
  4. Click Open

    5. Note: If the above does not work, select Apple menu > System Preferences; Click Security & Privacy; Click General; Click Open Anyway and repeat the above steps.

  5. An Upgrade screen will display
  6. Place your device into Bootloader mode and connect to your computer via USB
  7. Click Upgrade
  8. When successful, Upgrade Complete! will display
