ForceFrame Test Types

With the ForceFrame, a range of pre-programmed Test Types are available.  Some Test Types also have a number of Test Position options:

Detailed Test Descriptions

Hip Ab/Ad Contraction Mode: Isometric
Rep Detection: Unilateral and Bilateral (i.e. left and right hip abduction/adduction can be tested simultaneously or individually to register reps during a test)
Position Options: Supine (knee), supine (ankle), 45° (hip flexion), 60° (hip flexion), 90°/90° (hip/knee flexion), seated, standing (knee), standing (ankle)
Description: The most common ForceFrame test.  A test of isometric hip adduction strength, hip abduction strength, and adduction:abduction strength ratio.

Hip Int/Ext Rotation Contraction Mode: Isometric
Rep Detection: Unilateral and Bilateral (i.e. left and right hip rotation can be tested simultaneously or individually to register reps during a test)
Position: Prone or seated with knees at 90° flexion, lateral malleolus in contact with force pads
Description: A test of isometric hip external and internal rotation strength and hip external:internal strength ratio.
Hip Flexion Contraction Mode: Isometric
Rep Detection: Unilateral (i.e. left or right hip flexion is tested individually to register reps during a test)
Position: Seated with 90°/90° of flexion, Stand with the GroinBar behind you, holding onto the frame with your hands and place the top of your testing foot in contact with the force pads.
Description: A test of isometric hip flexion strength.

Seated


Kicker

Hip Extension Contraction Mode: Isometric
Rep Detection: Unilateral (i.e. left or right hip extension is tested individually to register reps during a test)
Position: Prone
Description: A test of isometric hip extension strength.
Knee Flexion Contraction Mode: Isometric
Rep Detection: Unilateral (i.e. one leg contracts at a time to register reps)
Position: Prone
Description: A test of isometric knee flexion strength.
Shoulder Int/Ext Rotation Contraction Mode: Isometric
Rep Detection: Unilateral (i.e. one arm contracts at a time to register reps)
Position: Supine with shoulder abducted 90° and 90° elbow flexion
Description: A test of isometric shoulder external and internal rotation strength, and shoulder external:internal strength ratio.
Custom Rep Detection: Unilateral (i.e. limbs can contract simultaneously or one at a time to register reps during a test)
