GroinBar Test Types

With the GroinBar, you can run several pre-programmed tests:

  • Hip Ab/Ad (multiple positions)
  • Hip Int/Ext
  • Custom (name your own)
Hip Ab/Ad Contraction mode: isometric
Rep Detection: unilateral (i.e. legs can contract simultaneously or one at a time to register reps during a test)
Position options:
Supine (Knee), Supine (Ankle), 45°, 60°, 90°/90°, Seated, Standing (Knee), Standing (Ankle)
Description: the most common GroinBar test.  A test of isometric hip adduction strength, hip abduction strength and adduction:abduction ratio.

Hip Int/Ext Contraction mode: isometric
Rep Detection: unilateral (i.e. legs can contract simultaneously or one at a time to register reps during a test)
Position: Seated or lying prone, knees at 90° flexion, lateral malleolus in contact with force pads
Description: A test of isometric hip internal rotation strength, hip external rotation strength and external:internal rotation strength ratio.
Custom Rep Detection: unilateral (i.e. limbs can contract simultaneously or one at a time to register reps during a test)
Description: enter your own custom test name, and perform your own protocol as desired
